Last weekend I attended a gingerbread house making course with my beautiful friend Lill. We spent a divine afternoon creating a special house for our families to share on Christmas Day.
After the afternoon was over and I took my gingerbread house home it got me thinking. Life is quite like a gingerbread house.
- Gingerbread houses are impermanent. They are created and then gobbled up with glee. Life is impermanent. Let’s gobble up this wonderful life with glee!
- Gingerbread houses crowning glory is their icing. So too with life our happiness should be found within and the friendship and love we share with others should be the icing on the cake.
- Gingerbread houses are beautiful but they should taste good too. This reminds us that our actions not our beauty make us a fabulous person. We are not here on this earth just to look good but to be of service to others.
- Gingerbread houses are yummy and so is life…
