A hotel in the hills ~ Hotel Villa Retreat, Kodaikanal…

Hotel Villa Retreat

Hotel Villa Retreat…

When we visited Kodaikanal a few years ago we stayed at the charming and atmospheric Hotel Villa Retreat. This darling hotel is positioned right at the top of the hill overlooking Kodaikanal and the valley below. It is an uphill walk from town but not a long walk. If you are like our family its location will help you walk off all the yummy Kodaikanal chocolates you may consume during your stay.

It has various standards of accommodation to suit all budgets. It was just divine sitting out in the front garden in the mornings, in the sun nibbling on delicious banana pancakes. If you visit in winter you can watch the fog roll up from the valley from 1pm onwards which is an amazing sight.

The location of the hotel is:

    • Hi Ravi ~ so nice to hear from you. We stayed in the standard rooms (with no view). The rooms with the views are worth it…especially the ones right at the front of the hotel overlooking the lawn. It is a great hotel…I hope you love Kodai as much as we did 🙂 Lakshmi

I'd love to hear from you...
