Lest We Forget…

ANZAC DAY ~ 25th April, 2013

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning.

We will remember them.

(Photos above were taken during my trip to Belgium in 2011 where we visited the World War 1 battle sites and memorials. It was an extremely moving and emotional visit.)

  1. That’s a beautiful poem. Yes, we must not forget those who have suffered, died, and still suffer to give us freedom. We should not let their memories grow old and always pay tribute to them at sunup and at sundown. Their humanity for others is priceless.

  2. Such beautiful thought that remembers the ones who left this world to embark on a brand new journey in the other world. I believe that life doesn’t end,

    • Yes I marched in our Anzac Day service with our brass band & then played for the veterans at the RSL Club afterwards ~ a very important day!

I'd love to hear from you...
