Chai would you have anything else…

A truly joyful time of the day is when we visit the chai stall. The milky, fragrant, spicy tea is a traditional Indian drink enjoyed all over India. From early in the morning you can see people standing around stalls getting their daily fix of the delicious brew. Chai is generally served in a small stainless steel cup in the south of India. In the north you are often served it in a pottery cup which you throw into the pile after use.

If tea is not your thing and you need your daily coffee hit the tiny Indian coffees are a delight as well. Generally they are served sweet so make sure you ask for no sugar as you order if that is not to your liking. It is served piping hot and goes down a treat.

The only problem is stopping yourself from having two, three, four…

I'd love to hear from you...
